Photography entered my life by chance. With no idea what to do with my life when choosing which A-Level courses to study at college I found that I had one subject left to fill and not a clue what to study for it. It just so happened that we had a 35mm Film camera in the family and bingo my final subject was decided. I also studied Maths, ICT and Art but photography turned out to be my leading subject. After finishing college, photography was well and truly my strongest subject and it had made a HUGE impact on my life. I had absolutely no intention of going to university so went full time into my job that I had already worked part time after leaving school. Then one day during a particularly stressful day at work, completely out of the blue something snapped in me. I got home and declared to my parents that I wanted to go to university and carry on my studies in photography. So within the next couple of days I sent my personal statement and applied to a range of universities even though it was past the deadline and was lucky enough to be asked back to interview to all but one!! After attending my interviews Newport stood out more than most and when the all important acceptance letter arrived through the door that was that! September 2008 I began the course and without sounding to cliche... I haven't looked back since!
Nowadays my camera's are a part of me, I am very rarely without one! I don't have any particular subject or area of photography I prefer over others. If I see something I like then I will photograph it :) These are a few examples of the anything and everything I take photo's of..
